“Arte e Moda”

Gioia Fashion magazine nr. 8 in 2008 became a very special issue.

Mrs. Marina Fausti, had officially already moved as Editor in Chief, from Gioia magazine to Flair magazine, when the nr 8 issue came out.

But the commissioned fashion shootings in the nr. 8 issue were made still under her responsibility in co-production with Anna Conforti (Caporedattore Moda).

With the nr. 8 issue Marina Fausti had left a significant “addio”.

She left a 70 pages Fashion dedication to the big masters of contemporary art.

International photographers and illustrators were asked to make their fashion interpretation of a celebrated masterpiece of arts.

Dresses, fashion accessories of the 2008 fashion collections were with dedication chosen by the Gioia stylists to fit into the Gioia new “masterpieces”.

Each photographer or illustrator was with the same preciseness, sellected to interpretate the works of the “old masters” that came close to their own creative language.

The artists featured in Gioia were under others : Antonio Bueno, Botero, Caravaggio, Dali, Andre Derian, Elisa Gallenca, Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt, Amadeo Modigliani, Otto Dix, Richard Prince, Roy Lichtenstein, Tamara de Lempicka, Salvador Dali, etc.

The photographers and illustrators that interprateted these artist for Gioia Magazine are: Agnes Spaak. Jeremy Jones, Andrea Varani, Federica Fiori, Lene Lindhal and me.
